“Melrakki” is the Icelandic name for the Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus).

I participated in one of Phil’s photo workshop in Iceland in the winter 2023, where I photographed Arctic foxes for 8 days. Being there and seeing the foxes in their natural habitat got me interested in their story, but also in their future as a species in Iceland.  

When Phil told me about his book project I decided to help fund some of the cost to make the book happen together with the crowd funding campaign.
